The Burnside Painting Group holds an Annual Exhibition in August of each year, during the SA Living Artists Festival (SALA). Members can enter works for exhibition and sale. Members contributing works for exhibition are also in the running to win one of a series of awards that are presented at the opening event.

The artwork selector in 2018 was Daryl Austin from the Adelaide Central School of Art, and the awards judge was Artist, Ross Morgan. The opening night speaker was Mary Marston, a volunteer from the Art Gallery of South Australia.
