This is a 2 week course, running on Thursday mornings.

PROGRAMME:

Richard will demonstrate a simple step by step approach that includes preparation, composition, tonal values, colour and details. This approach can be applied, not only to coastal landscapes but also to any subject matter. Richard will provide feedback and individual guidance throughout the workshop. Reference material will be supplied by the tutor.

MATERIALS:

1 or 2 stretched canvases.
Acrylic paints: Any colours are welcome, but essential colours are White, Paynes Grey, and the three primary colours, red, blue and yellow. Useful colours are yellow ochre, orange and purple.
Palette, water jar and fine mist water spray bottle.
Paint brushes: A selection of stiff brushes plus a liner or small round for painting finer details.

A roll of paper towel. ( Viva is recommended for its strength and resilience)
