Artist Statement
Singapore-born and trained artist, Alan Ramachandran, moved to Adelaide in 2007. He has since established a formidable reputation as a watercolour artist and teacher and the winner of numerous awards.

Course Description
This course is intended for Intermediate-level painters. Students need not have completed Alan’s Beginner-level class held last year but are expected to have knowledge and experience in working with Watercolour paints.

Required Materials
PAINTS:
1 ) Warm – French Ultramarine Blue
2 ) Cool – Turquoise Blue
3 ) Warm – Cadmium Red
4 ) Cool – Alizarin Crimson
5 ) Warm – Burnt Sienna
6 ) Warm – Cadmium Yellow
7 ) Warm – Yellow Ochre
8 ) Gouche – white

BRUSHES:
1 ) mop / hake – 1” / 2 “
2 ) round – size 8
3 ) synthetic – size 8
4 ) synthetic -size 4 / 6 (for fine detail work)
5 ) rigger – size 4 or 8 ( fine lines )

PAPER
1 ) Waterford Saunders / ( or similar ) – 300 GSM medium / rough texture
size – 38 x 54 ( or loose sheet )

MISC
1 ) Sponges, towel, tissues,
2 ) water containers (2), masking tape, spray bottle
3 ) Painting boards & table easel (easels are available for use at the class)
4 ) Watercolour sketch book / pad
5 ) 4 b pencil / erasers
6) Palette knife
