My enthusiasm to draw began when I was 8 yrs old when I drew woody wood pecker. Mum and Dad where very encouraging I thought I was very clever. My interest in drawing throughout my life has always been there. But life was busy so I put my pencils away. Thank heavens, I walked through the Burnside Atrium during SALA one year and spoke to a BPG member who encouraged me to think about joining. I was welcomed into the Monday morning companion painting group. I found the BPG very encouraging. There are both women and men in the group. I took classes, and I now enjoy painting for friends, family and doing commissions. I also enter various exhibitions receiving recognition for my work.
I have met so many beautiful friends through art.
